Juggling? You are not alone!

I just wanted to give a massive shout out to anyone who is juggling work and other life commitments and feeling frazzled, unseen or unappreciated. You are not alone!

Everyone has different roles, responsibilities, challenges etc. but the one common thing is that I bet at some point everyone has felt frazzled by life, unseen by those around them and unappreciated.

As I write this, I am juggling a busy week of client work, my eldest child has covid (thankfully not ill but at home none the less) and the smallest child is home because his childminder has covid too! This is a different struggle to last week where I was fitting in football training, swimming lessons and getting homework done on time.

As someone who has a lot of responsibilities in my personal life as well as my work life, I can often feel frazzled before my working day has begun. It is not uncommon for me to have prepped and cooked dinner, made lunchboxes and breakfasts, done reading and homework and send a raft of emails all before I actually sit at my desk at 8.30.

I do not write this for sympathy but simply to remind others that they are not alone in their feelings. As I stand at the school gates, I often feel I am surround by people that seem to have their life together, they have a full face of make up on and are dressed ready to go to the gym before work. I confess, I often wonder why I am not like this. I try not to assume how their life works, to judge or to feel judged, but I often struggle to shake the feeling of loneliness and that it’s just me who never seems to stop. But then, I speak to someone else who gives me an insight into their juggle, and I remember that everyone has their struggles and challenges and they often get that frazzled feeling too.

Sometimes the smallest act of support and/or appreciation can make the world of difference. I hope these words can help you feel seen if you are struggling or they can remind you to notice someone else and make their day.
